School Day Live opens the 2018 - 2019 season with Revive Big Band presenting A Journey Through the Legacy of Black Culture. This performance will offer a historical perspective on a wide range of music and traditions from the African diaspora. The “journey” will provide a musical lens through which to view the experiences of Black Americans from the 1800s to today focusing on the impact of Black music on American culture.
