Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement created in 2012 to inspire hundreds of millions of people around the world to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. At this critical time in our country’s history, performing arts venues, in particular, are uniquely challenged by the simultaneous health, economic and financial crises. Even further, the movement for Black and Brown lives has reached an all-time tipping point. It has never been more important to preserve spaces, like the Apollo Theater, that are sacred to the legacy of Black art and creativity.
Apollo President and CEO Jonelle Procope and Apollo Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes will come together live on Instagram to discuss the future of the Apollo, their wealth of knowledge in entertainment and the performing arts, and share the many ways you can show your support for the Apollo Theater and other Black-led organizations.
