About the Victoria
The Victoria provides the unique opportunity to extend the Apollo Theater's mission to build a center of community cultural engagement in Harlem and a focal point for arts and cultural audiences throughout Harlem and beyond. The Apollo envisions the Victoria cultural space as a center for Black excellence, a vibrant arts and entertainment complex that elevates artistic practice and cultural expression in forms not often seen in mainstream venues. The Victoria will advance the Apollo's role as a catalyst for new artistic and creative growth through expanded artistic development efforts and through the commissioning and presenting of new work by artists of the African-diaspora in America and beyond.
