In a special blend of film and music, Apollo presents a screening of the original 1971 Gordon Parks film Shaft, with Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber in concert. Greg Tate, cultural critic and the founder/conductor of Burnt Sugar, leads a live performance that showcases the funk and sensuality of Isaac Hayes’ Academy Award-winning score.
