Who We Are

An eclectic mix of sophistication and swag, the Apollo Young Patrons (AYPs) are the next generation of Apollo leaders committed to the arts, networking, and professional development. This diverse group of young professionals, (ages 21-40) meet for performances, mixers, and fundraisers that are quite frankly off the charts. The AYPs, hail from some of the most esteemed institutions in NYC: Credit Suisse, Sony Music Entertainment, CBS, Citi Group, JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs.

AYP membership is $250 to $500 annually. Payments can be made annually, quarterly, or monthly.

Homecoming at the Apollo

Friday, April 3, 2020

7:00PM - 10PM

Apollo Young Patrons and guests are invited to attend a reception, historic talk, and Music Café at the Apollo Theater. This special event connects the Theater’s past, present and future through the storytelling of Apollo Historian Billy Mitchell and Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes, and ends onstage with a mini Amateur Night.

During the reception, you'll mix and mingle with the AYPs, fellow young professionals, graduate students, and HBCU alumni. Guests are invited to end the night with a special discounted Africa Now! Apollo Music Café featuring West African singer Natu Camara with music by DJ Sabine Blaizin.

Doors open at 7PM for the reception.

The Music Cafe ($18/optional) starts at 10PM.

 

Signature Theater Night Out: Confederates

7:30PM – 10:00PM

The Apollo’s Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes will direct Dominique Morisseau’s new play, Confederates, this summer. The AYPs will partner with Just Inked, Signature’s young patrons group, to celebrate this collaboration.  There will be post-show drinks at the theater. Ticket info TBD.

 

Apollo Spring Gala

Join us on Monday, June 8 for the Apollo Theater Spring Gala, a night of show-stopping performances celebrating the Theater’s rich legacy and future, followed by a star-studded party with dinner, music and dancing. Proceeds from the Gala support the work of the Apollo Theater, on stage and off, including its varied performing arts, education and community initiatives.
