Based on the novel by James Baldwin, If Beale Street Could Talk is the story of Tish, a newly engaged Harlem woman who races against the clock to prove her lover’s innocence while carrying their first-born child to term. It is a celebration of love told through the story of a young couple, their families and their lives, trying to bring about justice through love, for love and the promise of the American dream.

IMPORTANT TICKETHOLDER INFORMATION:

  • Entrance into the screening will not be available at 125th street. Ticket holders must enter the Apollo using the theater entrance on 126th street. Please enter at 126th Street and Frederick Douglass Ave.
  • Ticket pick up and Will Call begins at 6pm. Please bring Photo ID for Will Call.
  • Please arrive early. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets not picked up by 7:15pm will be released to the standby line.
  • The Apollo Theater Box Office at the theater's main entrance on 125th street will close at 5pm on Tuesday, October 9th. Any tickets not picked up before 5pm must be retrieved from Will Call at 126th Street and Frederick Douglass Ave.
  • Large bags and backpacks will not be permitted in the theater and must be checked at security and retrieved upon exit.
  • Recording and photography of any kind will be strictly prohibited during the film.
