After being discovered by playwright and film director Tyler Perry in 1999, Tamela Mann made her debut in his play I Can Do Bad All By Myself. Since then, she’s appeared in several other plays by Perry, meanwhile cultivating a highly successful gospel music career. 2009 Sophomore album The Master Plan hit #2 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart, with 2012 follow-up Best Days reaching the #1 spot. Tamela Mann’s chart-topping singles include “Speak Lord,” “Joy of the Lord,” & “Take Me to the King.”
