Manhattan Concert Productions presents the 13th annual New York City Jazz Festival featuring the groundbreaking Swedish vocal ensemble, The Real Group, at Harlem's world-famous Apollo Theater.
The Real Group is a professional a cappella ensemble from Sweden, in constant development since the formation in 1984 and is one of the leading forces in the world of vocal music today. The combination of perfection, personal touch and their wide repertoire has made it possible for the group to collaborate with symphony orchestras, jazz groups, pop bands and international artists. Members of The Real Group are Emma Nilsdotter, Katarina Henryson, Anders Edenroth, Morten Vinther, and Janis Strazdins.
This concert will also feature performances by Downey High School Jazz Band & Mt. San Antonio College 'Singcopation'.
