On August 15, 2015, Apollo Theater board member Ronald O. Perelman hosted the 6th Annual Apollo in the Hamptons at his East Hampton home. The benefit featured a blowout concert with performances by legendary superstars Smokey Robinson, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Emeli Sandé and the ultimate house band, The Roots. The new “Daily Show” host, Trevor Noah, acted as master of ceremonies and the finale of the evening was a stellar surprise performance from Pitbull.
The event was co-chaired by Ronald Perelman; board chairman, Dick Parsons; board member Robert Kraft; and Jon Bon Jovi, and was underwritten by Mr. Perelman.
