Family Workshop
The Harlem Swing Dance Society

An inter-generational dance workshop for ages 6 and over. The afternoon will include history of classic social dances associated with Harlem and the Savoy Ballroom, demonstration of traditional jazz steps from the Charleston to Lindy Hop and Swing dancing, film clips, and a Q & A. Led by The Harlem Swing Dance Society.
Appropriate for ages 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.

Session 2: 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

The Harlem Swing Dance Society is committed to sharing the history of Lindy Hop, Swing Dance and the historic Savoy Ballroom. Through weekly Tuesday Night Swing Dance Lessons, community collaborations, cultural events, informational talk-backs, THSDS strives to bring this needed dance art form and staple back to its roots.
