Climate Speaks 2019

Youth voices are galvanizing our world and changing it for the better. Young people are stepping up to confront inaction on climate change, gun violence, racial injustice, and a host of other urgent social problems. At Climate Speaks 2019, high school students from across NYC, all of them on a major stage for the first time, will perform a thrilling spoken word concert on the climate crisis. How does climate affect what these talented and engaged youth think and feel about their own futures and dreams?

The concert culminates months of learning together and artistically collaborating in a program created by the Climate Museum in partnership with the NYC Department of Education’s Office of Sustainability and with special thanks to Urban Word NYC. Throughout the history of social progress, young people have had a central role in moving the world forward. Come hear these transformative voices.
