It’s a viewing party of the highly anticipated first presidential debate between Democratic and Republican nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Before the debate screening, Keli Goff of The Greene Space at WNYC & WQXR’s Political Party with Keli Goff event series will host an interactive panel discussion. Expert panelists include Derek Dingle, editor-in-chief of Black Enterprise; Amy Holmes, renowned political analyst; Scott McConnell founding editor of The American Conservative; and Mariela Salgado, award-winning journalist for Univision 41 News. Channel 7 Eyewitness News anchor Rob Nelson will facilitate audience Q&A.
The night kicks off with music spun by Hot 97 and WBLS’s DJ Enuff and performances from soul jazz violinist/vocalist Charisa the Violin Diva and string quartet Diverse Concert Artists. The New York Public Library will showcase politically-themed books, CDs and DVDs and The Women’s Political Caucus of New York will be onsite to register eligible non-registered New Yorkers.
