Between the World and Me With Benton Greene

In this unit, Benton Greene walks us through three of the lessons featured in the Between the World and Me Resource Guide for Educators. The Guide was first created for Apollo Theater’s staged reading of Ta-Nehisi Coates’s award-winning book and can be used as a companion piece to the book, the Apollo's theatrical presentation, and the HBO film. Lessons are recommended for grades 6 – 12.

Dana Rainey shows us how dancers moved during the Harlem Renaissance era. Hip Hop Dance with Charlene “Chi-Chi” Smith

In these videos, Charlene “Chi-Chi” Smith guides your students through the Hip Hop Dance technique known as Groovin’. They will learn this in the Bounce, Rock & Groove video. Once your students learn how to Groove, they will be able to dance along with Chi-Chi as she teaches the James Brown and the Biz Markie. Recommended for Grades 3 - 12.
