Safety Information

As of November 15, 2021, the following Covid-19 safety policies are in effect. Subject to change.

Ready When You Are – Safe In-Person Shows Return

The health and safety of our audiences, artists, and staff is our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that you have an exceptional experience, with confidence in the policies and procedures designed for a safe environment for all.

Here are a few things you need to know:

Identification

All attendees must present a government-issued picture ID prior to entry (passport or driver’s license).

Proof of Vaccination

Every guest must show a completed vaccination record authorized by the FDA or WHO against COVID-19 (dated at least 14 days before the show). Proof of vaccination can be displayed on your smartphone. The Apollo encourages the use of the New York State Excelsior Pass (http://epass.ny.gov), which provides a secure digital proof of vaccination for New York state residents. Downloading the app in advance and registering on the app prior to your visit will create a smoother entry process into the theater. Proof of vaccination may also include a CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), NYC Vaccination Record, or an official immunization record from outside New York City or the United States.

Bring a Mask

All attendees are required to wear masks inside the theater, except while actively eating or drinking.

Children Under 12 Years of Age

Fully vaccinated children ages 5-11 are welcome at the Apollo. Proof of vaccination authorized by the FDA or WHO against COVID-19 must be provided (dated at least 14 days before the show). Photo ID for children under 12 will not be required if they are accompanied by parents/guardians with government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport).

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

Based on guidance from public health authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies, the Apollo has implemented the following policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for our audiences, artists, and staff:

Rigorous cleaning - Across high-touch locations and surfaces including seats

Hand sanitization stations- Positioned on each level of the theater

Reduced contact ticketing

Digital tickets are able to be scanned directly from your mobile device or can be downloaded on site.

Ticket holders who are unable to show proof of vaccination will not receive a refund.

Please note that some events have their own COVID-19 protocol requirements, including that children ages 5 to 11 may enter the building with proof of a negative COVID-19 test in the last 72 hours. Because requirements vary by event, it’s important to also check the event page on the website to confirm additional details for that specific event.

Please be advised that it is the responsibility of the ticket buyer to communicate these policies to all those in their party or to whom they may be providing tickets.

Guests who choose not to follow the rules will be asked to leave the venue without a ticket refund.

The Apollo regularly updates its COVID protocols and procedures based on CDC, federal, state, city, and other scientific data. The Apollo reserves the right to alter safety protocols at any time and at its sole discretion including but not limited to social distancing, vaccines/testing, masks, food service limitations, venue capacity, and entrance requirements as it deems appropriate.
